FSG Bank Announces Timeline To Open New, State-Of-The-Art Branch In Cleveland

  • Thursday, June 4, 2015

First Security Group, Inc., the holding company for FSG Bank, today announced the timeline to open its new, state-of-the-art branch located at 3200 Keith St. NW in Cleveland.  Scheduled to open in late July, this new branch will utilize several innovative, leading-edge technologies to create a new way for customers to bank with FSG Bank – one that gives customers faster, more convenient access to their banking services than has typically possible from a traditional branch.
“Customers today move at a fast pace and need access to banking products and financial services that can work at their speed,” said Martin Schrodt, executive vice president with FSG Bank. “To better meet the banking needs of this new paradigm, FSG Bank is redefining the branch model by using in-lobby teller machines, smart ATMs in the drive-thru lanes and other technology enhancements to provide easier, faster and more convenient banking services – all of which will ensure customers can truly bank when they want and how they want.”

The Keith Street branch will feature several innovative, state-of-the-art technologies to provide customers with a wider range of products and financial services that are both high-touch and high-tech, including the following enhancements:

Multiple interactive, in-lobby teller machines that give customers an easy, more convenient and hassle-free way to access most of their banking services, including deposits, withdrawals and account transfers.

Automated drive thru lanes that feature Smart ATMs with large screens and easy touch instructions that allow customers to quickly conduct many of the services a traditional banking center teller would handle but from the comfort of their car.

Significant improvements to FSG Bank’s online banking services, including improvements to banking for smart phones, tablets and online browsers.

While industry research shows that 85 percent of normal banking deposits and withdrawals can be performed through self-service banking machines, FSG Bank understands the importance of having branch staff available to help answer questions, handle banking transactions, open account and provide customers with the banking and financial advice they want and expect from their local bank, officials said.

“While technologies are always exciting, our customers can still visit with one of our universal bankers inside the new Keith Street Branch to receive that personalized, one-on-one approach to banking that people have come to expect from FSG Bank,” said Mr. Schrodt.

FSG Bank expects to open the new Keith Street branch on July 27.  Once the new branch is fully opened to the public, FSG Bank will also close the existing branches at Village Green and Mouse Creek and consolidate accounts into the new Keith Street branch so the bank can better serve all of the banking needs of its customers.

“As we move to consolidate the Village Green and Mouse Creek branches into the new Keith Street branch, FSG Bank will work to ensure a seamless transition where customers will receive the same, high level of support they are accustomed to receiving with no interruption of service,” said Mr. Schrodt.
