James William “Jim” Anderson, 73, of Harrison, died on Wednesday, July 1, 2015.

He was a member of Savannah United Methodist Church. He served in the Army National Guard for six ears and retired from Dupont after 27 years. He was a member of Harrison Lodge #114 for over 50 years having received his 50-year pin. He loved animals, NASCAR and was an antique car enthusiast.

He was preceded in death by his parents, G. W. and Rubye Talley Anderson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Susan Anderson; brother, Edward L. Anderson of Harrison; Aunt, Bobbie Jean Fugate; his loving Maltese, Happi Dazs; his loving cats, Snow, Girdie and Crew; several nieces, nephews, and special friends.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 3, in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Minister Ronnie Powell officiating, followed by a masonic rites service. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 2, from 1-8 p.m. at the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home.
