Accused burglar Shawn Timothy Watson remains in the Bradley County Jail while detectives expand their search for an alleged accomplice, Jared Samuel Garza, 27.

Bradley County Sheriff Eric Watson said Garza and Timothy Watson, 24, of Scenic Drive, are suspects in the forced entry to a residence on Minnis Road that was reported to the sheriff’s office on June 24.

Crime scene investigators found evidence at the crime scene linking the pair to the burglary and theft where the loss included several TVs, a Sony video gaming system, an Apple IPad, a laptop computer and other items.

The owner valued the loss in excess of $8,600.

Detectives filed affidavits in Bradley County General Sessions Court charging both with felony counts of aggravated burglary and theft over $1,000.  Work continues on the investigation and a full recovery of the stolen property.

Watson remains in custody in lieu of a $46,100 bond pending his next court appearance on July 9.

Any information regarding Garza should be given to the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division by calling the Tip Line at 423-728-7336.

Sheriff Watson commented,” Our CID members were able to piece together the right evidence within days of the burglary. Citizen help in locating Jared Garza is greatly needed and appreciated as he needs to be in jail.”
