Antwuan Stokes, 21, was shot in the Tunnel Boulevard area on Tuesday around 2 p.m.
The Chattanooga Police Department responded to a local hospital on information of a person shot.
Mr. Stokes said he was walking in the area of Tunnel Boulevad near Shallowford Road when an unknown suspect shot him from a white four-door sedan.
The victim is being treated for his injuries. Officers and investigators were unable to locate the location of the incident.
