A 20-year-old male suffered "significant injuries" on Sunday while boulder climbing on Mowbray Mountain.
At 12:15 p.m., a 911 call was made reporting a high fall at Terrace Falls (644 Montlake Road).
The Mowbray Mountain Fire Department responded to the scene and hiked back to the scene. Firefighters reported that due to the extent of the injuries it would require additional manpower to carry the injured youth out of the woods.
Sequoyah Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene with additional manpower to assist Mowbray VFD.
According to fire officials, the young man was climbing the large boulders at Terrace Falls with friends when he lost his grip and fell 20-30 feet below hitting the rocks. He was to be transported to Erlanger Hospital by Hamilton County EMS.
