Carrie E. Brooks, 91, of Rossville died on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at a local health care facility. 

She had lived most of her life in Walker County Georgia retiring in the mid 1980’s from Nation Hosiery with over 20 years of service.  She was a member of the South Rossville Baptist Church and her passions in life were her family, grandchildren, church and reading. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack W. Brooks, Sr. and 11 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her two sons, Jackie (Vickie) Brooks and Tim Brooks, all of Rossville; sister, JD Rentz of Lookout Mountain; four grandchildren, Jack Brooks, III, Jennifer Simpson, Shayna Brooks, and Katja Fri; five great grandchildren, Tori, Sidney, Trinity, Brennen, and Hailey; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 4, at 2 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Jeff Daniels officiating.

Interment will follow in the TN-GA Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 3, from 4-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
