Damonte Marquel Battle, 19, was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly pulled a pistol on an individual he saw counting money in a car on Tunnel Boulevard.

Officers who were already surveying in the area in anticipation of a drug deal on that road were notified that the robbery had taken place nearby. They further learned that the suspect had left with the money and started walking toward the intersection of Germantown Road and Tunnel Boulevard.

When the officers identified a man who matched the suspect description, they approached him, and a pat down found a Sig P 250 semi-automatic pistol in his waistband as well as a large amount of cash.

Battle was interviewed and admitted to seeing the victim counting money in the car on Tunnel Boulevard. He also said that he was short on money to pay bills so he decided to rob the individual.
