Funeral services were held for a mother and daughter killed along with two young girls in last Thursday's tragic wreck at the Ooltewah exit of I-75.
Rites for Sandra Kay Anderson, 50, of Rutledge, were Wednesday night at Central Point Baptist Church, where she was a member. She was employed by the Jefferson City Public Works Department.
The funeral for Tiffany Diane Watts, 31, of Morristown, was Thursday night. She was an employee of Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare Systems and was enrolled at Walters State Community College.
They had just picked up daughters of Ms. Watts, Kelsie and Savannah Garrigues, from California for a six-week visit. They were also killed in the wreck.
Ms. Watts was described as "a loving mother to two beautiful girls and devoted her heart to them. She celebrated life in all things. She had a love of friends, family, gardening, traveling, and her flock of chickens."
Survivors included her husband Rick Watts, step-daughter Shelley Watts, step-son Spencer Watts, father-in-law and mother-in-law Jerry and Linda Watts, father Dwayne (Sherry) Moody, grandmothers Esther Dodgen and Barbara D. Miller, uncles and aunts Terry and Anita Spoon and James and Teresa Russell, step-brothers Joshua and Jonathon Smith, step-sister Jessica Smith, and several cousins.
Survivors of Ms. Anderson included her mother, Ruth Esther Dodgen of Rutledge; brothers, Terry S. (Anita) Spoon of Knoxville, J. Allen (Belva) Spoon, Ricky Spoon, both of Rutledge, David (Gwen) Foster of North Carolina; sister, Brenda (Charles) Williams of Rutledge; aunt, Jean Perry of Knoxville; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
