Federal authorities have arrested Christopher McCormick for distribution of Ice meth.
Agents said Hamilton County detectives arrested another individual on Wednesday for drug trafficking and firearm offenses. He was interviewed on his involvement with Ice.
He said he had been obtaining Ice from a white male named "Chris." He said he got one to two ounces of Ice every couple of days. He said "Chris" had delivered one to two ounces to him on at least seven prior occasions.
He said he would typically send a text message to "Chris" asking for ounce quantities of Ice. He said "Chris" would then arrive at his residence within a couple of hours.
A search of the informant's cell phone showed text messages involving "Chris."
It was arranged that a text would be sent to "Chris" asking for another Ice delivery.
At about 5 p.m. Wednesday, law enforcement observed a white male get out of a vehicle and approach the residence of the informant while a white female remained in the vehicle. The white male went to the front door and knocked.
Law enforcement approached the man, who turned out to be Chris McCormick, and took him into custody.
He quickly told officers, "It's all mine. She had nothing to do with it."
McCormick had three ounces of Ice meth in the front pocket of his shorts. A loaded pistol was lying in plain view in the driver's side of the vehicle.
McCormick admitted he had been selling Ice meth to the man for several weeks. He said he made deliveries two to three times a week.
He was charged with possession with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of meth.
