FBI Agents Search Apartment Complex On Mountain Creek Road; Teen Points "Gun" At Agents

  • Monday, July 20, 2015

The search for evidence in connection with Chattanooga's tragic shootings on Thursday has led the FBI to an apartment complex on Mountain Creek Road.

FBI agents wearing gloves were searching for evidence, including going through a trash can.

During the search, the agents were confronted by a 15-year-old male with what first appeared to be a rifle. After he pointed it at agents, they ordered him several times to drop it. He finally complied.

The youth, who was ordered to the ground, also had what first appeared to be a handgun on him.

The two guns turned out to be air soft guns.

FBI Special Agent in Charge Ed Reinhold said the agents demonstrated "exceptional restraint" in handling the situation.
