Suspect Caught After Robbery At Golden Gallon On Mahan Gap Road

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded at approximately 12:12 a.m. Wednesday to the Golden Gallon at 8229 Mahan Gap Road for a report of a robbery in progress.  

While on the way to the location, deputies were advised that the store had been robbed by a male suspect for an undisclosed amount of cash and no weapon was used or reported by the clerk.

The suspect was described as a white male with several tattoos driving a dark SUV. The suspect was last seen driving on Mahan Gap Road towards Highway 58.  

HCSO deputies encountered the suspect shortly after, while traveling on Snowhill Road. Deputies immediately engaged the suspect in a vehicle pursuit. Upon nearing I-75, deputies ahead of the vehicle deployed spike strips and successfully stopped the vehicle, at which time the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
