Kimberly Moore
Police have charged Kimberly Dehavilland Moore with attempted first-degree murder after police said she stabbed her boyfriend as he sat at the kitchen table.
Ms. Moore, 45, said she stabbed 45-year-old Terry Gauntt after he first came after her with the knife. However, the victim and witness Charles Jones said there was no warning prior to the attack. They said there had been no argument.
Mr. Gauntt said the incident happened after he asked Ms. Moore about his house key and some cigarette lighter.
Ms. Moore was found several houses away hiding in bushes on Navajo Drive.
The victim had multiple stab wounds to his back, but they were not life-threatening.
The knife was found at the residence.
Ms. Moore cut her hand during the incident, and she was taken to Erlanger Hospital to have it stitched up prior to being transported on to the County Jail.
She is being held on $150,000 bond.
