As a community PBS station, WTCI sees "compelling stories happening in the Tennessee Valley every day."  This year WTCI launched a new local project, and since the Greater Chattanooga series debuted it has brought stories about technology, music, innovation, history and the people and places that make this community unique.

WTCI will broadcast the premiere of the Greater Chattanooga series featuring stories on Insure TN, Old Time Travelers and the Chattanooga Mini Maker Faire on Friday at 8:30 p.m.

There will be encore broadcasts on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Since the series debuted, Greater Chattanooga has explored stories of innovation, public affairs, history and culture from around the region.

The broadcast premiere of the Greater Chattanooga series will feature new on-air host Kevin Bate, an artist who has been telling stories in Chattanooga as a muralist with paint, brushes and community partnerships.

Blood Assurance is proud to support WTCI’s series, Greater Chattanooga, that tells the stories of this area,” said Blood Assurance’s Vice President of Marketing Charlie Callari.  “Just as we connect donors to recipients, so does this series connect people through the power of storytelling.”
