The Chattanooga Football Club has claimed another South Region championship Saturday night with a 3-2 win over Myrtle Beach.
The road win means CFC will host a national semifinal game on Saturday at Finley Stadium. A win on Saturday would mean a spot in the NPSL national championship game.
Chattanooga led 3-0 on Saturday at Myrtle Beach before giving up two goals late in the game.
Chris Ochieng opened the scoring for Chattanooga when he converted a penalty kick in the 26th minute.
Chattanooga took a 2-0 lead in the 57th minute when Leo DeSmedt scored.
Chris Ochieng gave CFC a 3-0 lead in the 79th minute.
Myrtle Beach would score twice in a span of two minutes giving Chattanooga quite a scare with just ten minutes left to play.
Fortunately, Chattanooga held on for the 3-2 win.
Three other games were being played this weekend to determine the other three teams in the final four.
Chattanooga will return to Finley Stadium for their semifinal match up next Saturday.
