Amanda Krause, 36, was arrested on Friday after she allegedly beat up another woman and stole her bag.

The victim said that she was walking on East 47th Street when she saw a woman she knew to be Ms. Krause running toward her. She said that the defendant told her she was going to “Beat your a**,” because she was angry over the man the victim was seeing.

The defendant then allegedly beat the victim with her hands before reaching into her purse and pulling out something that was then used to hit the victim on the face, leaving a laceration.

The victim said that the defendant then grabbed her bag and fled with it down the street. The bag reportedly had $200 and several bottles of the victim’s prescription medication.

Officers were able to locate the suspect and identify the path she took. Ms. Krause admitted to taking the bottles and emptying them, but would not reveal their location.

However, after short canvas of the area, officers were able to find the bottles, then empty, along with the bag.
