James Williams
James Williams, 48, was arrested on Saturday for attempted first-degree murder after he shot at the father of his girlfriend’s child.
When police responded to Grove Street Court on a call about shots fired, Williams said that the victim, Morris Fitten, had come to his house threatening him.
The defendant said that he went outside and pulled his pistol out of his pocket, firing one round over the victim’s head to “scare him away.”
A housing video showed the defendant waiting outside for Mr.
Fitten, confronting him when he arrived, and firing several shots at the victim as he attempted to drive away.
The victim was contacted and returned to the scene—one round was found in the driver’s side door frame. The defendant was arrested and taken to the Hamilton County Jail.
