Ronald McEwen
Ronald McEwen, 81, of Sale Creek, died on July 26, 2015, at a local hospital.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Patsy McEwen, his parents, Ervin and Winifred McEwen, brothers, Malcolm, Marshall, and Tommy McEwen, sons Ronnie and Ricky McEwen, and grandson Larry Duff, Jr.
He is survived by his sisters Nancy (Don) Burton, Hixson and Billie Carol (Bill) Eldridge, Soddy Daisy, daughter Deena (Eddie) Alvey, Dayton, and son Warren (Bronwyn) McEwen, Lookout Mountain. He was a loving grandfather to his grandchildren, Jennifer, Sondra, Rhonda, Noel, Larry, Mary Catherine, Bronwyn, Will, and Jack; great-grandchildren Christopher, Cameron, Taylor, Emily, and Hayden; several nieces and nephews.
He was a life-long resident of Sale Creek. He was an employee of Combustion Engineering for 32 years. He was a member of Bakewell Bible Church. He loved farming and would freely give many of his crops to family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, in the funeral home chapel with the Reverend Joe Runyan officiating. Interment will follow in Rhea Memory Gardens.
Visitation is from noon-2 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
