Virginia Lynn
Virginia Lynn, 77, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, July 27, 2015 at Erlanger Hospital.
Virginia was a native of Chattanooga, born on July 1, 1938. She retired with 25 years of service in respiratory care at East Ridge Hospital. Virginia was a fun-loving lady who loved fishing and spending time with her extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Ernest Lynn; her mother, Mrs. Mildred Wormsley Lee; foster parents, Mr. & Mrs. Hoy Adams.
She was a supportive, loving step-mother to her daughter, Judy Lynn Johnson (Bobby) and her sons, Danny Lynn, Andy (Brenda) Goforth, Sam Goforth and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition, she is survived by her brothers, Kenneth (Nancy) Adams of Columbia, S.C. and Charles (Joan) Adams of Hobbs, N.M.; very special cousins, Ann Adams, Lee (Jan) Wormsley and Jerry (Jeanie) Wormsley of Chattanooga; also her dear friend, Brenda Dunn Goodroe of Chattanooga.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 31, at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace.
The family will receive friends at Lane Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, and12-2 p.m. on Friday, prior to the service.
Entombment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
