Odis Carroll, 85, of Chatsworth, Georgia, died on Monday, July 27, 2015 at the Pruitt Health Care in Blue Ridge, Georgia.
Odis was born April 6, 1930 in Old Fort, TN, to the late Henry and Jewel Arthur Carroll; and was also preceded in death by a wife, Frances Carroll; grandson, Mickey Carroll; brothers, J.B., Duane, Lewis, Bob and Joe Carroll; and sister, Ethel McCracken.
He was retired from World Carpet.
He is survived by his son, Michael Carroll and his fiancée, Leslie Lawrence of Chatsworth, GA; daughter, Patricia McDonald of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Caitlin McDonald, Kerry Jo and Glen Owenby, Shane and Michael Carroll; great-grandchildren, Wes Robinson and Sam Carroll; adoptive daughter, Sandy Carroll of Chatsworth, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Odis Carroll will be held Friday, July 31, at 3 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel. He will be laid to rest at the Carroll Family Cemetery in Murray County, GA, with his close family and friends serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, July 30 and from 11 a.m. on Friday, July 31 until the service hour.
