Barbara Jean Dickson Shields, 84, of Ringgold, Georgia, died on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at her residence.
A resident of the North Georgia area most of her life, she was of the Christian faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lewis Shields; parents, John “Alex” and Clara Lucille King Dickson; daughter, Sandra Parks; sister, Linda Dickson and three brothers, Troy, Carl and Paul Dickson.
She is survived by three sons, Johnny (Denise) Shields of Ringgold, Jeff Shields of Ringgold, and Mike Shields of Ooltewah; four sisters, Audrey (Bill) Collison of Ringgold, Wilma Scott of Ringgold, Martha (Jack) Baggett of Ringgold, and Doris (Bill) Pitts of Tunnel Hill; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 2, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Delbert Young officiating.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 2 p.m. until funeral time at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel, Ringgold.
