Ratcliff, Helen Haney (Cleveland)

Helen Haney Ratcliff, 86, of Cleveland, Tennessee, died on Wednesday, July 29, 2015.

She passed away at a local health care facility in Cleveland, with family and friends by her side. Helen was a 1948 graduate of Bradley Central High School. She devoted many hours doing volunteer work for the American Red Cross and was a past president of the Bradley County Republican Women’s Club. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers retiring with 30 years of service from Bell South Telephone Company.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Ratcliff; her parents, Charles E. Haney and Gertrude Dodson Haney; and her three brothers, Chester L. Haney, Herman E. Haney and Charles E. Haney Jr. 

She is survived by her two sons, Gary S. Ratcliff and Jeff W. Ratcliff and his wife Cherie Dykes Ratcliff; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, Aug. 1 from 10-10:45 a.m. at Grissom Serenity Funeral Home and then follow in procession to Sunset Memorial Gardens for a graveside service at 11 a.m., to be conducted by Dr. Jay McCluskey.

Arrangements are being handled by Grissom Serenity Funeral Home.
