Charlotte Roberts Bowman, 82, of Dalton, died on Monday, July 6, 2015.

She was born July 18, 1932 to the late Guy and Nellie Roberts; and was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clarence Bowman; brothers, Jack Roberts and Lee Roy “Bud” Roberts; sister, Peggy Ann Roberts; brother-in-law, J.D. Nicholson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Luther and Sarah Elizabeth Bowman; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Carl and Marian Bowman.

Charlotte was a member of South Dalton Baptist Church and was retired from the Whitfield County Probate Court. She and her husband were small business owners which included Boyles Bros. Auto Parts and Eastside Furniture. Charlotte loved God and her family. She loved to laugh, dance, cook and travel. She brought joy to everyone in her life and never met a stranger. Her family and friends were blessed to be a part of her life.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Wanda Bowman of Dalton; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and David Cline of Dalton; sister, Nita Nicholson of Dalton; brother and sister-in-law, Billy Joe and Cheryl Roberts; sister-in-law, Johnne Roberts all of Dalton; grandson, Stephen and Jennifer Middlebrooks; granddaughter, Brittany and Chris Aaron; great-grandson, Brock Hackney Aaron; sisters-in-law, Louise and Jimmy Woodruff and Shirley and Dale Greene; brother-in-law, James and Ann Bowman; nieces and nephews; special cousin, Shirley Bearden and many other cousins.

The family would like to express their appreciation for the loving care administered by the doctors and nurses of the Westcott Beckler wing and MICU of Hamilton Medical Center.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 8 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Atkins and the Rev. Robby Dunn officiating. Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 7 from 4 to 8 p.m.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to South Dalton Baptist Church, 498 Lakemont Dr, Dalton Ga. 30720.

Love Funeral Home, 1402 N. Thornton Ave, Dalton (across from Hamilton Medical Center) is in charge of arrangements.
