Pursuant to an executive order signed last fall, the governor requested the Council submit a second panel of three nominees for his consideration.

The Governor’s Council for Judicial Appointments will interview all qualified applicants starting at 9 a.m. on July 23 at The Chattanoogan Hotel, 1201 Broad St. The meeting will include a public hearing, during which members of the public may express any objections to any applicant. The interview and public hearing will be open to the public. The council is expected to make their selections immediately following the interviews and forward the names to Governor Haslam for his consideration.

The governor can select from either of the two panels. Completed applications of all the candidates can be found on TNCourts.gov.
