NextGen Homes Bike Tour And Listing Party Scheduled For July 18

  • Tuesday, July 7, 2015

Over the past year, green|spaces has been working to develop a new type of residential home where it not only produces as much energy as it consumes, but also minimizes water consumption, incorporates healthy products and promotes wellness for the occupants – all for the same price conventional homes are being built for today. It is now coming to fruition with the listing of the first home this past week.

631 Hamilton Avenue is the first home. Officials said, "This soon-to-be constructed home will be just blocks from Frazier Avenue, Coolidge Park, and Renaissance Park. With close access to bus routes and Bike Chattanooga Bikeshare Station, transportation is not a problem Here, the owner can walk and/or bike to work, shopping, and dining. 631 Hamilton Avenue is the first of four NextGen Homes to be developed, and features three bedrooms, two and a half baths, and 2,225 square feet. This Net Zero Energy home is designed with the environment in mind, and has the potential to save the owner money throughout your home ownership."

To kick off the construction of the homes, green|spaces is hosting a bike tour and listing party on July 18 at the Crash Pad. The bike tour will leave the Crash Pad at 9:45 a.m. and go past the site at 631 Hamilton. Riders will be provided detailed information and be able to walk the land where construction will soon take place. Afterward, the tour will continue past another net zero energy house in the Northshore. Following the bike tour, a listing party will be open to the public from11:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Crash Pad. Guests will be able to see more pictures and detailed information on the design elements. Product partners will also be onsite to showcase the sustainable products going into the homes.
