***If you’re traveling to Nashville this weekend, please take note of this SCHEDULED work ON I-24.  Major traffic impact expected on Monteagle Mtn.***

GRUNDY COUNTY – A safety project on I-24 continues with weekend lane closures this report period.  On Friday July 10, 2015 beginning at 8PM, the contractor will perform steel erection on the concrete barrier wall on I-24 East and West.  The contractor will close the left lane on I-24 West from MM 135 to MM 132.3 and will also close the left shoulder on I-24 East from MM 131.1 to MM 132.7 for the entire weekend.  Traffic will be restored on Monday, July 13, 2015 at 6AM.  THP will assist with traffic control.

BRADLEY/HAMILTON COUNTY - Milling and resurfacing operations will continue from on I-75 in both directions from MM 12.78 in Hamilton County to MM 18.58 in Bradley County.  The contractor will be working at nighttime between the hours of 7PM -6AM

COFFEE COUNTY - On the I-24 resurfacing project in Coffee County, nighttime resurfacing work will take place during this report period, resulting in temporary lane closures.  Lane closures for resurfacing activities on the interstate will only be permitted between 7PM until 6AM Sunday through Thursday.

The bridge work has been completed so there will be no more weekend lane closures for bridge repair.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY – On the SR-298 (Genesis Rd.) bridge replacement project over I-40 (MM 320) in Crossville, the contractor plans to perform nighttime bridge demolition on the existing bridge.  This work will require lane closures on I-40 West and East from the hours of 8PM to 6AM.  See report for additional details.

HAMILTON COUNTY – There will be nighttime lane closures on SR-153 as part of the Shepherd Rd. bridge replacement project.

PUTNAM COUNTY - As part of the Putnam County-SR-56 bridge repair project over I-40 the contractor may have interstate lane closures on each night except Friday and Saturday nights to allow the contractor to perform work on the bridge overhead as part of Phase 2 of the project.
