Workplace Diversity Speaker And Four-Part Harmony Will Be Featured At MidTown Council Meeting

  • Tuesday, August 11, 2015
Sponsored by the Scenic City Chorus, midTown’s August meeting features Ron Harris, director of Workforce Diversity at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee.

Mr. Harris will discuss diversity in the workplace – including issues such as generational diversity, disability awareness, stereotypes, effective cross-cultural communication, religion in the workplace, and the business case for diversity.

"midTown represents one of the most diverse areas of Chattanooga, and together with Grassroots midTown, the midTown Council strives to embrace the educational community to further workforce diversity and opportunity," officials said.

Additionally, the Scenic City Chorus will perform both contemporary and classic songs in four-part, acapella harmony.

midTown Council meetings are the second Wednesday of each month, and open to Chamber members and non-members. Meetings cost $10 for members and $12 for non-members. Lunch provided by Fresh2Order.
