A man who police said was involved in the robbery of a woman on E. 13th Street on June 18, 2014, has been sentenced to serve 100 months in federal prison.
Lyndell Green appeared before Judge Curtis Collier.
The sentence is consecutive to any time he may get in Catoosa County, Ga., on a firearms charge.
Police said the woman was walking to her car from her house when Green brandished a gray handgun and forced her back into the house at gunpoint.
Once he got her purse, he fled on foot.
Responding officers located Green still holding the woman's purse.
As he was taken into custody, a .32 Falcon pistol fell from him to the ground.
Green had previously been convicted of assault in Tennessee and being a felon in possession of a gun in Georgia.
In another case, Clinton Dewayne Fry got a 41-month term on charges of selling LSD.
Police said Fry was involved in a drug conspiracy in April 2014 that included sales in several different states.
Fry was arrested after coming to Chattanooga for a drug deal in early October 2014.
A search of the black Ford Focus he was driving turned up a specialized hidden compartment containing LSD on blotter paper and $12,000 in cash in a vacuum-sealed bag
There was also a .357 Ruger handgun in the center console.
