ACE Announces Leadership Transition

  • Friday, August 14, 2015
The American Council of Employees issued a statement from the organization’s current president, Sean Moss, announcing his decision to step down from his role in leadership in order to attend to personal matters.

“ACE’s fight to protect the independent voice of Volkswagen-Chattanooga employees is incredibly important to the future of our workplace and community. Leading that fight demands a significant contribution of time and attention, and because I must now focus on personal matters I have decided to step down from the role of President,” Mr.
Moss said. “I am proud to have been a part of what ACE has achieved over the past year, and will continue to be an active supporter of the organization and its mission."

In accordance with ACE’s constitution and bylaws, vice president David Reed assumes the role as the organization’s president effective immediately, with elections to be scheduled to fill any resulting vacancies.

In-coming ACE President David Reed offered thanks to Mr. Moss and welcomed his new role, saying, “The members of ACE cannot thank Sean [Moss] enough for his immense contribution to this cause.  We have built incredible momentum and remain focused on the goal of establishing a local works council in Chattanooga. I am excited to step forward to help lead that effort.”
