Two Bradley County officers have returned from the state of Colorado, where they participated in the search for missing 19-year-old Joe Keller of Cleveland.
Lieutenant Brian Quinn and Detective Kevin Chastain of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office arrived in Conejos County, Colorado early last week to assist in the search for the teen. He was last seen when he and a friend, Colin Gwaltney, went for a run along a road in the Conejos Canyon. Mr. Gwaltney ran on ahead, then upon backtracking their route, Mr.
Keller was gone from the road.
Lt. Quinn and Det. Chastain worked closely with family members of Mr. Keller and Conejos County, Colorado authorities during their stay. Assisted by Colorado State Police and K-9 teams, the Bradley County officers searched the area of the Rainbow Trout Lodge and the vicinity to the east of that location. No new evidence was uncovered during that search.
Both Lt. Quinn and Det. Chastain reported satisfactory cooperation with Conejos County Sheriff Howard Galvez, Jr., his officers and staff, as well as members of the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and Colorado State police.
Sheriff Watson said, “We will continue to gather any information locally that might assist Colorado authorities in the search for Joe Keller.”
