Brooks, Christol, Gibson Are Finalists For Cleveland Police Chief

The list of candidates for chief of the Cleveland Police Department has been cut to three. 

The Police Chief Interview Committee has narrowed the applicants from 10. 

They are Jessie Brooks, a captain with the Tennessee Highway Patrol; Tim Christol, chief of the Red Bank Police Department; and Mark Gibson, interim chief of the Cleveland Police Department. 

Extensive background reviews and an assessment will be conducted on each of the three candidates over the next three weeks.

Interviews will be conducted the week of Sept. 7, and the selection process should be completed by Oct. 1.
