Here are the Cleveland City Schools activities for this week:

Cleveland City Schools Board of Education will host a Ribbon Cutting and Opening House for the F.I. Denning Center of Technology and Careers on Sunday, Aug. 2, at 2 p.m. at 350 Central Ave.   Retired Director of Schools, Dr. Rick Denning, will officially open the new hybrid non-traditional school. Cleveland City Schools Opening Convocation will be Monday, Aug. 3, 8:45 a.m. at the North Cleveland Church of God. CCS will join with Bradley County Schools and Polk County Schools to hear national educator Ron Clark. For more information contact Kelly Kiser, 423-472-9571,kkiser@clevelandschools.org.   
 
Tuesday, Aug. 4, is the first day of classes for Cleveland City Schools. This is an abbreviated day for all grades.

 

  • Cleveland High School - 7:50 am - 11:30 am
  • Cleveland Middle School - 7:50 am - 10:15 am
  • Denning Center - 7:50 am - 11:00 am
  • Elementary Schools - 8:30 am - 11:00 am

WCLE Mix 104.1 will Broadcast Live at Cleveland High School on Tuesday, August 4, starting at 7:00 am. Director of Schools, Dr. Martin Ringstaff, will broadcast the Director's Welcome to all schools at 8:45 am
