Kellie Sanders
Kellie Sanders, 78, died on August 2, 2015 at a local health facility.
He retired from Wheland Foundry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lula James and Bobby Sanders; siblings, James, Bobby and Percell Sanders.
Survivors include his children, Sadell (Michael) Gibbs, Pearley (Abraham) Jackson, Kelley (Delma) Sanders Jr., Lucille Sanders, Baxter Sanders, Shirley (Phillip) Shobe; 22 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; eight siblings; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be on Monday, Aug. 10, at 11 a.m. at Olivet Baptist Church, with Pastor Dennis Moore officiating, and Reverend Dr. Phillip Shobe, eulogist. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.
The body will lie in state after noon Sunday and the family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
