  • Thursday, August 20, 2015

BenchMark Physical Therapy, a southeast outpatient physical therapy organization, celebrates 20 years of service as it continues to grow, while maintaining the original values of focusing on customer service and continued clinical education.

The company started in one clinic in Ooltewah, in August 1995 by Jeff Londis, Harvey Hillyer and another original partnerIn the first ten years, the company steadily grew by adding ten clinics across the Tennessee Valley.

Then in 2005, BenchMark grew by partnering with two other brands in Georgia.

Early on, formalized education became a top priority. The MENTOR Program: Meeting Education Needs Through Ongoing Reassessment was created to give new graduates clinical guidance and tools that are so critical to develop reasoning skills needed to offer patients the finest care. Education was further developed with Benchmark University as a bi-annual retreat to allow clinic directors and leaders come together to share best practices and provide training and support.

In 2011, the Beyond the Mark foundation was founded as a company mission to inspire and empower others to reach their full potential by serving others in the areas of health, hunger and homelessness. By 2012, BenchMark partnered with another four brands, thereby growing into Alabama, Kansas, North Carolina and Louisiana. In 2014, BenchMark joined with another practice in Texas.

Today, the company boasts the outcomes of 99.5% patient satisfaction and 92.3% functional improvement rates. The company has grown into nearly 200 locations with eight brands in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, North and South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.

The company will celebrate with staff and associates during the month of August.
