The Baylor Class of 2016

Keeping with tradition, the Class of 2016 wore Baylor blazers for the first time during the Convocation ceremony on Thursday.

The Convocation processional was led by student representatives Maddie Kim '22, Isaac Waxenberg '21, Terrance Roberts '20, Ke'Lynn Enalls '19, Libby Crutchfield '18, Lynn Jiang '17 and senior Ulysses Strawter. Faculty representative Beth Gumnick, chair of the fine arts department, carried the Convocation banner followed by Headmaster Scott Wilson '75 with the Baylor flag.

In addition to the donning of the blazers, the ceremony included remarks by Headmaster Wilson, Dean of Students Sharon Wang, welcome messages from international students in their native languages, welcomes by senior class representative Hannah Kleban and Honor Council representative Parker Catlett, and the singing of the Alma Mater, led by the Baylor Concert Choir.

The senior class enjoyed a brief reception at the Johnston House shortly after the event.
