The London Souls, based in New York, made their return to Chattanooga after catching a flight from Italy following their World Tour. They are no strangers here. In January 2014, they opened for Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks a/k/a Tedeschi Trucks Band.  (Source, http://www.chattanoogan.com/2014/1/28/268358/Tedeschi-Trucks-Band-Holds-A-Music.aspx )

Then later in August 2014, Tash Neal and Chris St. Hilaire (The London Souls) returned to headline the Nightfall Music series by Chattanooga Present.

Jordan Hallquist and The Outfit opened for them at Nightfall last year and just a couple of weeks ago at Riverfront Nights both bands met again. Last week we provided a cursory view of Jordan Hallquist and his band. This photo journal highlights the band they have come to know and appreciate.  (http://www.chattanoogan.com/2015/8/16/306293/Jordan-Hallquist-And-The-Outfit-At.aspx )

I have been following these two rockers for the past couple of years, meeting them at both previous performances.  This time it was different, these two have rocked their way throughout Europe the past couple of months including France England, Spain, Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany and Italy while opening for such great acts as Billy Idol, Lenny Kravitz and Gary Clark Jr.  They arrived recently from Italy to Chattanooga fighting jet lag to make it to the stage on the Riverfront.

I enjoyed the few minutes with Tash and Chris literally back stage while Jordan Hallquist & The Outfit was wrapping up their last couple of songs.  Often on cross continental flights these guys get to the events before their equipment and sometimes not. I recognized Tash's red guitar. When you see a guitarist literally shred two or three strings off while playing a Jimi Hendrix’s cover song and finished it, this was nothing short of amazing.  You don’t forget, besides it made for a cool photo of guitar slinger Tash.

Great concert series continues with more photos ahead including Shanytown (The VanZant Legend lives in another generation), the explosive concert performance of Hank & Cupcakes and more.  The Nightfall Music Series (http://www.nightfallchattanooga.com/   and Riverfront Nights (http://www.riverfrontnights.com/) continue for only a few more weeks.  Chattanooga Live Music is downtown and free. Come to Miller Park for Nightfall on Fridays through Sept 4 and the Riverfront Nights on Saturday through Sept. 5.
