Covenant Announces Women's Basketball Schedule

  • Thursday, August 20, 2015
The 2015-16 Covenant women's basketball schedule has been released. The Scots, under third-year head coach Sarah Harris, will play 25 regular season games with 12 of those slated for Barnes Physical Education Center.

The season will tip-off on Nov. 13 at home against Berry at 7 p.m. It will be the second straight year that the Scots have opened a season with a home game.

Following the opener, Covenant will play six of the next seven contests away from home. The lone home game before Christmas break will be Dec.
8 with Sewanee visiting. On the road, Covenant will play at Sewanee (Nov. 17), Oglethorpe (Nov. 21), Birmingham Southern (Nov. 24), Berry (Dec. 2) and Wesleyan (Dec. 5).

USA South play will open a bit earlier this year as the Scots will travel to conference power Maryville on Dec. 12.

In January, Covenant plays three straight USA South home games from Jan. 2-9 with LaGrange, Piedmont and Huntingdon all coming to Lookout Mountain. After a four-game road trip, the Scots will be back home for five straight from Jan. 29-Feb. 6. Four of those games will be against USA South teams with the lone exception being Agnes Scott on Feb. 2.

The regular season concludes with a non-conference tilt with Wesleyan on Feb. 17 followed by Senior Day against Maryville on Feb. 20.

The USA South Tournament will take place on Feb. 25-27 at the top-seeded institution.
