14-Year-Old Boy Rescued After Fall At The Pocket Wilderness

A 14-year-old boy fell and was rescued at the Pocket Wilderness trails Sunday at about 5:40 p.m.

Fire officials reported they had to carry out the boy and cross a swift flowing creek. 

The boy was transported by Hamilton County EMS to Children's Hospital at Erlanger.

Several rescue units responded to the scene to assist the Mowbray Volunteer Fire Department with additional manpower.  Units responded included the Soddy Daisy Fire Department, the Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department, the Sequoyah Volunteer Fire Department and the Sale Creek Volunteer Fire Department.  

Walden's Ridge Emergency Services and the Lone Oak Volunteer Fire Department responded with their rope rescue teams.

His name has not been released by the parents' request.
