Cleo Elizabeth Hickman, 84, of Evensville, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Hospice Care Center of Chattanooga.
She was born May 21, 1931 to the late Huse Crowe and Rachel (Hard) Crowe in Evensville; and was also preceded in death by her first husband, Manuel Tharpe; and granddaughter, Angela Wood.
Cleo lived in Evensville all of her life where she had worked and retired from Shipley Basket Factory. She enjoyed fishing and loved flowers. She was also of the Baptist faith.
She was survived by her husband of 56 years, Bobby D. Hickman of Evensville; four sons, Larry (Vicki) Tharpe of Evensville, Johnny (Claudia) Tharpe of Dayton, Tony (Beate) Hickman of Evensville and Danny (Tammie) Hickman of Cleveland; two daughters, Judy (Rev. Tom) Herrell of Evensville and Vicki (Doug) Clark of Spring City; one sister, Margie Shipley Cox of Dayton; 20 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 27 at 5 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev.Tom Herrell officiating. She will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens Friday at 11 a.m.
