Lifelong Chattanoogan Retired From Eyear Optical

Peggy Sue Crittenden Grant devoted wife, mother and friend, died on Thursday, August 27th.

A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, she was retired from Eyear Optical and was a member of the Divine Mercy of Jesus Church.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Katherine Grace.

She is survived by her husband, Terry L. Grant, her children: Jennifer (Aaron) Welch, John Edward (Ashley) Evans, Kimberly, Bryan, Titus, Gabriel, Havannah, Tristan, Elijah, Yera, Ayanna and Matthew Grant; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Aiden and Emma; her parents Jim Crittenden and Susie Michal; sisters, Cindy (Britt) Henderson and Genia (Dewayne) Durham and numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren, fostered children, friends and extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 31, in the Valley View Chapel with Bishop Nathan Allee officiating.  Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

The family requests memorial contributions may be made to the Mary Ellen Locher Cancer Center at memorial.org/maryellen-locher-breast-center/

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 30, at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
