Mary Jo Knight Huckabee, 89, of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, died on Friday, August 28, 2015 in a Scottsboro, Alabama hospital.

The daughter of the late Robert Mancell and Frankie Mae Bratcher Knight, she was a member of the Ladies Social Club and loved gardening.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother – doting on her grandchildren whenever possible.  She was also a member of First Baptist Church in South Pittsburg for over 70 years.  She loved her church and especially enjoyed the fellowship with her friends in the Fidelis/Dorcas Sunday School class.

Mary Jo was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Reed Huckabee; sisters, Winford Knight and Eva “Pat” Holmes; and brother, Robert Pierce Knight.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Reed & Alan Looney; granddaughter, Ashley Reed Looney; grandson, Thomas Alan Looney and his fiancée, Emily Austin; great-granddaughter, Aubrey Adair Looney, all of Scottsboro, Al.; sister and brother-in-law, Margie and John Thompson of South Pittsburg; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Central Time on Sunday, Aug. 30, with Reverend Brad Bridgman officiating. Interment will be in Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, Tn.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday evening from 6-8pm Central time at the funeral home.
