Vernon “Pete” Powell, 74, of Whitwell, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015.
Pete was retired from The Marion County Highway Department.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Maybelle Slatton Powell; father, Fletcher Powell; and grandparents, Jim & Amanda Slatton.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Linda Powell; daughter, Renee & Jeff Long both of Whitwell; granddaughter, Nicole & Trey Daniel; and great-grandchildren, Makayla Daniel, Makenzie Daniel, Nathan & Janie Long.
