Verlon T. Hall, 75, of Cohutta, Georgia, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015 at a Chattanooga Hospital.
He was the son of the late John B. and Sally Dunn Hall; and was also preceded in death by his brother, Spence Hall; and sisters, Jewell Hall Hinkle, Gladys Hall Wilson, Jean Hall Moore and Ina Hall Kerr Caldwell.
He was a retired self-employed carpenter, he loved NASCAR and especially loved Jeff Gordon, he was an avid outdoorsman, gardening, hunting he loved animals and his feathered friends. Mr. Hall attended Northwest Christian fellowship in Varnell GA.
He is survived by his sons, Tony Hall and his wife Lesa of Cohutta and Ricky Hall; his daughter, Kim Armstrong and her husband Bobby of Cleveland and Ashley Hall of Dalton, ten grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Linda Ratcliff, Faye Long and Vivian McKeehan all of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4 at the Wildwood Ave. Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes in Cleveland. Officiating clergy will be Rev. Michael Watkins and Rev. J.C. Eller. The interment will follow in the Cohulla Baptist Church Cemetery with Stacy Hall, Travas, Shane and Cody Armstrong, Caleb Hawkins and Mike Johnson.
The family will receive friends Monday, Aug. 3 from 3-8 p.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
