Dalmous Richard Holbrook, Sr., 67, of Trion, Ga., died on Saturday, August 29, 2015, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  

Mr. Holbrook was  born July 16, 1948,  in Summerville, Ga., the son of Herbert and Bessie Stoker Holbrook.  He was employed with Trucktown of Summerville, and was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Jane Holbrook, Rebecca Holbrook, and a brother, Frank Holbrook.

Survivors include his wife, Mona Teresa Foster Holbrook, children, Dale Holbrook, Sunshine Holbrook, Teresa Holbrook, Wendy Holbrook, sister, Truceil Adkins, brothers, Virgil Holbrook, LeBron Holbrook, Ronald Durham, grandchildren, Tyler Bailey, Amber Bailey, Marley Wester, Grady Holbrook, Trey Holbrook and several nieces and a nephew.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1, at the Mt. Olive Cemetery with Brother Steve Collins officiating with burial to follow in the family plot at Mt Olive Cemetery. 

Active pallbearers will be Shane Holbrook, Jimmy Holbrook, Michael Kirk, Gary Holbrook, James Arnold, Billy Joe Dooley. Honorary pallbearers all employee’s and former employee’s of Trucktown. They are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Mr. Holbrook will be in state at the Mt. Olive Methodist Church and the family will receive friends on Tuesday from noon until the service hour.
