Barbara Aileen Louallen Pope, 81, of Dayton, Tennessee, died Monday evening, August 3, 2015 in Chattanooga.
Barbara was born in Dayton, on Sept. 4, 1933 to the late Barnett and Gladys (Smith) Brady. Barbara lived in Rhea County all of her life where she retired from Robinson Manufacturing as an inspector. She enjoyed birds, flowers, and fishing. She was a member of Solomon’s Porch.
She is survived her two sons, Mayor Gary (Bonnie) Louallen and Pastor Mack (Pastor Beverly) Louallen both of Dayton; a sister, Kathleen Matherley of Dayton; three grandchildren, Melissa (Scott) Gravitt, Amy Louallen Stinnett and Jonathan (Jennifer) Louallen; four great-grandchildren, Jackson Gravitt, McKenzie Gravitt, Reagan Louallen and Abby Stinnett; and step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Pat, Jeff, Ryan, Cinnamon and Amanda Skinner and Ally (Montana) Grace and Olivia Grace.
Funeral services for Barbara will be held Thursday, Aug. 6 at 6 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with her sons officiating. She will be laid to rest in Buttram Cemetery followed by a white dove release.
