Peggy A. Mathis, 70, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at a local hospital.
Survivors include her children, Willie and Joyce Gay, Chattanooga, Deborah Gay, Atlanta, James (Sherrill) Robinson, Jr., Chattanooga, Joseph Robinson, Atlanta and Melony (Kevin) McClendon, Chattanooga; siblings, Bessie Lovelace, James Wright, Charlsie Brown and Pauline Sims of Chattanooga and King David Miller of Buffalo, NY;21 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6, in the Chapel with Rev. Wayne Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens – East.
The body will lie in state after noon Wednesday, Aug. 5 at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
