William “Billy” C. Wooten, III, 37, of East Ridge, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2015.
Billy attended East Ridge High School prior to transferring to Lakeview- Fort Oglethorpe High School. He attended Jones Memorial United Methodist Church. Billy loved FSU football, just as his father had.
He was preceded in death by his father, William C. “Bill” Wooten, Jr.; maternal grandfather, Herman Dickert; paternal grandfather, William C. Wooten, Sr.; and an aunt, Robin J. Hood.
Billy is survived by his wife, Darlene Wooten; children, Skylar, Will and Katelyn Wooten; step-children, Bethany and Lyn Williams and Justin Barberee; mother, Kathy Wooten; brother, Jonathan Wooten; maternal grandmother, Haroline Dickert; paternal grandmother, Yvonne Wooten; aunts, Beth Tatum and Connie (Rick) Parker; great-uncles, Dr. David DeWitt and Ronnie DeWitt of Miami, FL; and grandchildren, Aemilie Williams, Breanna and Bryson Barberee.
The family will receive friends from 3-9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5 and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6 at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6 at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Eric Rieger officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South with Will Wooten IV, Jarrett Myers, Ryan Bennett, Randy Poston, Justin Barberee, Tony Dagnan, Larry Ardry and Travis Owensby serving as pallbearers.
