Cleveland Police Chief Candidate List Cut To 10

The list of candidates for chief of the Cleveland Police Department has been cut from 26 to 10.

Those still in the running include Interim Cleveland Police Chief Mark Gibson, Red Bank Police Chief Tim Christol, UTC Police Chief Craig Hamilton from Cleveland, Chattanooga State Police Chief Stephanie Hill and Chattanooga Police Captain Nathan Vaughn.

Others are Michael Bledsoe of the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, Jessie Brooks of the Tennessee Highway Patrol from Kingston, Anthony Heavner of the Madison County Sheriff's Office from Jackson, McKenzie Police Chief Craig Moates and Thomas Parker of the Williamson County Sheriff's Office from Franklin.

The selection will be by Cleveland City Manager Janice Casteel.
