Two Men Shot In Separate Incidents In Chattanooga Early Sunday Morning

Two men were shot in Chattanooga in separate incidents early Sunday morning.

Chattanooga Police responded to a local hospital just after midnight on a report of an individual shot.  Upon arrival investigators spoke with 33-year-old Michael Boone.  Boone was observed to have a single, non-life threatening, gunshot wound to his right buttock.   He advised officers he was walking in the 1300 block of Bradt Street when he was shot.  The victim stated he did not see any vehicles or individuals.

The victim indicated to officers he did not wish to further the discussion and that he had no additional information to share.

Also, Chattanooga Police responded to the 2700 block of 4th Ave on a report at 6:15 a.m. of an individual shot. 

Upon arrival, Chattanooga Police found Reginald McGruder suffering from a single, non-life -threatening, gunshot wound to the right ankle. He was transported to a local hospital by Hamilton County EMS.

The victim told Chattanooga Police Investigators his wallet and $200 had been taken by the suspect after he was shot. He described the suspect as: a black male in his mid-twenties, 5’6” tall, 140 pounds, with shoulder-length dreadlocks, carrying a black revolver.
