Presidential Contender Dr. Ben Carson Will Sign Books In Chattanooga On Oct. 11; Rubio Here Thursday

  • Tuesday, September 1, 2015

Presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson will be visiting Chattanooga on Oct. 11.

He will sign copies of his new book A More Perfect Union: What We the People Can Do to Reclaim Our Constitutional Liberties at 3 p.m. at the Hamilton Place Barnes and Noble.

Dr. Carson, who is on a 40-city tour, calls the book an opportunity to “encourage every citizen to read and think about the Constitution, and to help defend it from those who misinterpret and undermine it. In our age of political correctness it’s especially important to defend the Bill of Rights, which guarantees our freedom to speak, bear arms, practice our religion, and much more.”

The event is also part of a bookfair fundraiser for the Urban League of Greater Chattanooga.

A poll this week found Dr. Carson tied with Donald Trump for the lead in Iowa.

Senator Marco Rubio, another GOP presidential candidate, will be in Chattanooga on Thursday.

He will be at the Lindsay Street Hall at MLK Boulevard and Lindsay Street from 3:30-5 p.m.

Former Congressman Zach Wamp is his Tennessee campaign manager.
