The Chattanooga Zoo will host its annual Banana Ball event on Saturday, October 10th at the Zoo’s location at 301 N. Holtzclaw Ave. They will also be bringing back their 3rd annual Banana Split event, just for kids.
The day’s activities will kick start with the Banana Split event beginning at 2 p.m. All children ages 3 and up are invited to come enjoy a special presentation by Jack Hanna and his animal friends. There will be face painting, a bounce house, goody bags, animal encounters, and sweet banana treats. This event will take place from 2-4 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person and are available online now.
The Banana Ball event will begin that evening with a special VIP Meet and Greet with Jack Hanna. For those interested in getting to spend quality time with this celebrity guest, tickets are available for purchase at $150 each. The VIP ticket includes admission to the Banana Ball as well as a private VIP reception beginning at 5:30 p,m.
From 6:30-11 p.m., guests will experience a special evening at the Zoo while enjoying a presentation by Jack Hanna, up close animal encounters, dinner catered by Lee Towery, live music provided by The Michel Jons Band, an open bar, and a cigar bar providing signature hand rolled cigars. Tickets are $75. Banana Ball guests will also have the chance to experience animal paintings, “adopt” their favorite Zoo animal, and learn about the Chattanooga Zoo’s capital campaign, “Reaching Great Heights”.
Banana Ball is the Chattanooga Zoo’s signature fundraising event with all proceeds going to the care of the Zoo’s many animals, as well as its conservation, education and rehabilitation efforts.
